THE CHESTER LAND TRUST
Chester, Connecticut
The Chester Land Trust received two open space land parcel donations this past fall. Located on the north side and south sides at the top of Lakeview Avenue near Cedar Lake, these two parcels consist of partial wetlands and upland hardwoods, and serve an important purpose in the protection of a significant watercourse leading to Burr Brook, which feeds the Pattaconk Brook. This area is an important wildlife natural corridor which supports a vast variety of animals, birds, and amphibians which regularly use these two parcels. Chester Land Trust is indebted to the former owners of these lands whose donation is the true spirt of preservation of open space in Chester, for future generations.
